Active Ingredients:
- ethinyl estradiol, drospirenon
Therapeutic actions: Yasmin belongs to a group of called oral agents. They work by preventing ovulation and changing the uterine lining as well as the cervical mucous. This prevents the sperm from reaching the uterus and makes it harder for the feritlized egg to attach to the walls of the uterus. The unicity of consists in a progestin hormone that the contains it is called dropsirenon. The may be prescribed to women that have suffered from adverse effects related too other contraceptives.
Indications: Yasmin is used primarily in pregnancy prevention, but there are some other conditions that may be treated with Yasmin:
- Acne in women form 14 years old
- Premenstrual dysphoric syndrome:
- Anxiety
- Irritability
- Depression
- Tiredness
- Appetite changes
- Insomnia
- Weight gain
- Muscle pain

Contraindications and cautions: You should not take yasmin if you experience or had:
- Heart problems:
- Stroke
- Heart attack
- Blood clots
- Hypertension
- Angina
- Cancer:

- Abnormal vaginal bleeding
- Diabetes
- High cholesterol
- Migraines
- Epilepsy
- Liver, kidney or gallbladder disease
Do not forget to mention if you are smoking, will be having or had surgery in a short period of time. The drug is in pregnancy category X. Meaning that it should not be used during pregnancy.
If you are breastfeeding do not take Yasmin without the a consultation with your doctor.
Adverse effects: There are possible side-effects associated with this that can affect individuals in different ways. If a side effect is stated here, that does not necessarily mean the fact that all people using Yasmin will experience it or any other. The side-effects include:
