A Rare 5-Stars for A Rare Gem...

When it comes to Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, my only complaint would be, "I want this to be longer!!". That's not to say that the game is very short. Really, it's up to par with other adventure games in length, and quite certainly... depth. The devs certainly took a lot from there influences and weren't afraid to let those influences shine through clear as day. The formula worked to perfection.
Immediately, you can see the similarities in the story, and settings if compared to Indiana Jones: Raiders of The Lost Ark. That's certainly not a bad thing. The protagonist in Uncharted is just as charasmatic and quick witted as Indy. The "line of sight", "cover", and "stalking systems work just as well here as Metal Gear Solid's. Even the acrobatics will remind you of "Tomb Raider" and "Prince of Persia".
Until recently, replay value would have been an issue. But, they now support trophies. The trophy system along with the ability to select through which chapter you want to play (once completed of course) leaves you with a lot of collecting to do well after you've beaten the game.
The controls are fluid and very responsive. The graphics are easily the best of 2007 and can compete wih most of 2008's releases. The story, voice acting, and overall audio presentation is top notch as well.
If you own a PS3, this should be one of the reasons you bought it. If not, well... You may not have truly experienced what your PS3 is capable of yet.
