Work, traffic, running a house, taking care of the kids…Sometimes life can be quite stressful. As stress can cause our body and mind so many problems, it is very important to find some time to relax. If your lifestyle makes you short on time, try at least taking five minutes everyday…Pick a quiet room, put on a classic music cd or your favorite song, take long deep breaths, imagine you’re in a beautiful and quiet place…Believe it, it’s very helpful! Now if you do have the time, find a sport that’s best for you and practice on a regular basis…Boxe, volleyball, tennis, there are so many choices! Or even go running or take yoga classes, whatever you like best. Dedicate some time to take care of yourself!

Your hair, just like your skin, responds to its environment. So as the winter months settle in, your hair is going to react to the colder weather, the rain, wind, and snow. All these external factors can leave your hair dry and prone to damage.

But there are lots of easy, at-home products you can use to keep your hair looking shiny and sleek. The first step to healthy, hydrated hair is a high quality hydrating shampoo. Also, most people do not need to shampoo their hair every day. Every other day will actually keep the hair healthier.

Beyond that, try using jasmine, fruit extracts, or Shea Butter on your hair. All of these items will bring out the natural moisture in your hair. Particularly with the Shea Butter, make sure you leave it in your hair long enough to work. This is generally around half an hour. Also, focus on the ends of your hair. They sustain more damage than the roots.

If you’re still having troubles, try setting up a humidifier in your home. The added moisture in the air will help infuse your hair with moisture as well. If you don’t want to invest in a humidifier, a similar effect can be achieved through a large pot of boiling water.

Try one, all, or any combination of these hydrating options until you find the right formula for your hair.

Arbonne productsA few months ago, a friend recommended that I try aromatherapy to relax, as I found myself constantly stressed out.  There are specialists for this, but I find it’s slightly embarrassing, so I looked around on the internet for a suitable home remedy.  Eventually, I found Arbonne products and their Unwind Rejuvenating Body Mist.

Because Arbonne utilizes all natural sources, this didn’t smell like chemicals and I did find that when I used it, I was a bit on the calm side.  Admittedly, it didn’t completely alter my mood, but it did help.  Additionally, the body mist also gave my skin a nice, healthy sheen.

Hydrate Your Skin Without a Greasy FilmI’ve tried numerous lotions and I must say that the Arbonne skin care line is among the best.  My main gripe with lotions is that they often leave a greasy film across your skin, which isn’t the best feeling in the world when you’re in relatively warm weather.  I found that this is typical, particularly with store-bought product.  I’ve also tried lotions from mail order sources and while they worked well, they were also a bit on the high-priced side. 

Arbonne’s Intelligence Body Lotion is absolutely great.  Aside from being affordable (under $20), this tube of lotion did not leave a filmy feeling on my arms or legs.  Also, Arbonne’s products are all natural and herb-based, meaning that it does not cause my sensitive skin to break out in hives or crack.
