I found some interesting information on the internet about the history of the bra. They have come a long way since then. The Tatiana Bra is the result of years of redesignging the “Breast Supporter” first made in 1893 to current day styles in 2008 with a soft comfortable fit and a more natural support.
- 1904 - Termmed Brassiere By Charles R. DeBevoise
- 1907 - The term Brassiere showed up in high profile womens magazines.
- 1912 - The term “Brassiere” appeared in the Oxford English Dictionary.
- 1913 - The first backless Brassiere consisted of two silk handkerchiefs and some ribbon.
- 1928 - William and Ida Rosenthal introduced ”Cup” sizes from A-D.
- 1943 - Howard Hughes designed a cantilevered bra to show off cleavage.
- 1947 - Fredicks of Hollywood began selling intamate apparel in Los Angeles store.
- 1949 - Maidenform introduced it’s famous “I Dreamed” ad.
- 1959 - Warners & DuPont produced “Lycra.”
- 1968 - Women were burning their bras.
- 1970 - Sears devolped the “Ah-h” Bra.
- 1977 - The first Sports Bra known as the “Jogbra.”
- 1990 - The Bra Industry leaped ahead in the quest for “Cleavage” by utilizing water, air, and silicone pads.
- In the 21st century companies like Tatiana are mostly about “Breast Management” and “Enhancement.”
