When you ask parents what they want their kids to learn in school, the most prominent answer will probably be a choice from math, science, writing or computer technologies. Each of those things are very valuable and of course, I would want my kids to have a firm grasp on each of those things as well.
There are other things though that I think are as valuable to a kid’s education. That’s why my daughter and I do punch needle embroidery patterns together. She gets the hand eye coordination from doing a simple task well, and to learn an ancient craft that is still beautiful today.
