Chocolate Wedding Favors

With the wedding “season” moving into high gear, if you’re looking for some high quality chocolate wedding favors, make sure they are foil wrapped, otherwise you may have a mess on your hands (especially if you buy them online).  Some ideas are chocolate truffles, chocolate coins, or things like chocolate hearts in decorative gift boxes.  These are ideal for wedding party favors, or as wedding reception favors to be used as table decorations or centerpieces.  Something like the coins could be placed in a dish at each table, or “scattered” around the table(s) for guests at every place setting to munch on.

If you’re mailing chocolate,  if it’s something like a chocolate bar that might break, you may want to tape it in between pieces of cardboard. It might be a good idea to mail it at the beginning of the week, so there is less chance of it sitting around somewhere.  A zip-lock bag is also a good idea, that way in case it does melt and the recipient gets a “fondue” instead of a solid piece of chocolate, the foil and the zip-lock bag will prevent things from getting ugly.  Last but not least, if it’s already melted (chocolate sauce, fondue, etc), then there’s no melting to worry about!Smile
