According to the FBI’s Uniform Crime Report, violent crimes increased in 2006, particularly a 6% rise in robberies. Police squads around the United States are suffering from either job cuts or a shortage and with that in mind we must protect ourselves.
This doesn’t mean that we have to go out and purchase a cache of firearms, but there are some safe, legal self defense weapons out there that are available for us to use.
Stun guns, pepper spray and batons are all perfectly legal and non-fatal weapons we can use to carry with us when we simply want to walk around the neighborhood or just walk out to our car.
Don’t be a statistic and do what you can to protect yourself.
