24 month stability!! wow i really want to get my hands on one of these and overclock it. this reminds me a bit of the opteron 165 days from amd where it was 1.8ghz but it was an opteron and therefore it was much more stable than an amd 64x2 so people would buy these opterons and get 2.7ghz-3.1 ghz easily on air.
a good overclocked quad core phenom *might* give intel a run for its money (in terms of price-performance)
AMD is entering a market where Intel has dominated for a long time. Intel's "Channel" is well defined and very efficient. AMD has a lot to prove if they want ot be successful in this arena.

The intel channel is the primary support path for System builders and providers of Intel components. There are of course different levels of membership and partnership with the channel but it is basically a support base for all of your Intel products that offers warrenty support and replacement. I have had excellent success dealing with the channel at my old job getting replacement parts. Usually I will call them and they will overnite the part to me and I get it the next day. AMD has a lot of work to do if it wants to match that level of service.
24 month stability, I'm confused, why won't it be stable?
